"ho to click" instructions

You will find the "Open support" link at the top of the internal eKVV pages. This can be used to call up help pages for the ekvv page that is currently open.

The ekvv is maintained decentrally in the Faculties. For this purpose, employees are granted special rights in the ekvv at the request of the Faculty, which go beyond the normal access rights of teaching staff, instructors, lecturers and secretaries's offices. Only with these rights courses can be created in the ekvv and assigned to degree programmes, rooms can be requested from the central room scheduling system and appointments can be entered.

Input rights for the ekvv must be requested from BIS. Details are explained on this page:

This page provides an overview of the most important steps for creating events. Subpages on topics such as "Entering dates", "Subject assignments", "Copying events" etc. can be accessed via the left side menu.

Where to enter?

If you log in to the public eKVV via the "Register" link, you will first be taken to the "My events" page, which is primarily intended as a starting point for teaching staff, instructors and their secretary's offices in the eKVV. For eKVV representatives, the"eKVV homepage" is a better starting point. If you work with the electronic course catalogue (ekvv) frequently, you should bookmark this page.

The most important pages in the internal area can be accessed via the footer and the side menu.

For whom are newly created events visible?

Events in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv) have the following statuses:

  • U = unpublished
  • Ö = published
  • Ö (Z) = published, with times
  • Ö (Z/R) = published, with times and rooms
  • A = cancelled

Unpublished events can be viewed by all employees with BIS-login in the password-protected area of the electronic course catalogue (ekvv). However, the status "U" makes it clear to everyone involved that the event in question is still a provisional, reversible version.

Only when an event has been explicitly published by the responsible ekvv representatives will it be visible to all visitors to the site via the Internet. Events marked as cancelled also remain visible in order to inform students.
